* calling someone's bluff.
* people having a conversation that the audience thinks is private, then panning to reveal there was someone there the whole time.
* bragging about something nobody cares about.
* children cursing.
* most non-english germanic languages.
* dumb people being profoundly sad.
* talking about something that seems strange or specific, then revealing that it has actually happened multiple times before.
* saying something that seems like a non-sequitor, then revealing it's actually real.
